I found a Canon PowerShot Pro 1 camera on this website advertised for $419.00. The camera sells at most stores for around 699-750. The next day I noticed that the order had still not been processed. I called the company and I was put on hold for almost 20 minutes before somebody addressed my order. I then found out that I needed to purchase a lithium battery for the camera for $119. I was told that the battery came with a charger. Then I found out that in order to download the photos onto a computer I would need to purchase the cables for $39.99. I was told that with 2 day shipping and tax my credit card would be charged $699.00. I was transferred to billing who sent me an email with a paypal link which showed that my credit card would be billed $768.00.
When I called customer service and waited on hold for another 15 minutes, the representative told me that I had to pay an additional $119.00 for the battery charger. When I disputed that information with what I was told by the previous representative, the customer service representative told me that I should just cancel the entire order. He was extremely rude.
I found the same camera with all the necessary accessories that same night at a camera store for $699.00. I also received additional software and free photo classes. Boy... Am I ever glad that the company representative encouraged me to cancel my order!
