On September 21, Mr. Lopez was solicited by Devine Executive Protection Services at his business Shannen Auto Sales. Mr. Lopez was not satisfied with the service provided by Mr. Devine due to equipment that was install, was not the same that was describe on th introduction letter given to Mr. Lopez before the deal was made. Mr. Lopez also notice the surveillance and recording cameras didn't have enough lighting which was the purpose of the installation for auto protection even though it wasn't quite dark yet. Mr. Lopez discussed the problem with Mr. Devine on which he said he had received the wrong equipment, but agreed to make it right and change it to what was on the original contract the first time.
Next reason for dissatisfaction as a customer is a check that was given to Mr. Devine with an agreement to be on hold. The basis of the sale was on that Mr. Devine hold the check He stated that his wife got the check, deposit it, and withdraw the monies without his knowing. The check was made payable to the business Devine Executive Protection Services, not his wife. Once again Mr. Devine acknowledge it was a mistake and said he would make things right. When asked about his standard refund policy was, he stated "I have such confidence on what I do, I don't have one" Mr. Devine said that he goes by what the customer says at the time of installation. No refunds are made after that. Mr. Lopez stated his level of distrust and discomfort in teh deal and exercised his right to cancel. Mr. Devine stated that time had expired because he signed a lease first, but that the lease did not go through for credit reasons. When asked for a copy of the lease application that was submitted, no answer was given.
The State of Arizona allows a notice of cancellation for business that is solicited by services fo 72hrs/3 working days. Mr. Devine did not allow Mr. Lopez the right of cancellation and/or refunds of monies. He mention that he could not give th monies back because it had been spend but he himself would do whatever it took to make sure Mr. Lopez got the deal he first thought he was getting and make sure he was satisfied.
The address where Devine Executive Protection Services was to be located at, turn out to be a P.O. Box. The times that Mr. Lopez has tried to get hold of Mr. Devine no answer was given. His calls have received the response of "I will call you back, " "I have other people on this line, " etc. There has been no contact on Mr. Devine part, by phone or other wise, in return. It's been a year of false promises made by Mr. Devine, this problem and dissatisfaction still remain.
