I found this web site after receiving a letter about the fairbanks court hearing. I counld not believe there were so many others with letters that i could have written myself. Unfourtantly, my husband and i have given up the fight to keep our first home that we bought and filed for bankrupty (7). I am sure after reading many of thses letters that the fight is still long from being over. We are still receiving monthly statements and threats to provide proof of property insurance even though we have not lived there for over 4 months and our bankruptcy has been disccharged.
I hope when our house is auctioned they loose ther a— off considering they ran our balance up from a first purchase price of 75,000 to over 108,000 so far. The house is only appraising at 79,000. Good luck!
We tried to refinance as a last option and the funny thing is the mortgage lender i spoke with heard the name fairbanks and was involved in the lawsuit also because they had done the same exact things to him a few years before! Imagine that!
They were not able to help us after months of headache simply because after 2 years of payments, and an initial refiance of 102,000 our payoff was almost 104,000!! Now someone explain to me how in the he— that could be possible!
Well i guess with these creeps anything is possible-except justice. It makes me sick to my stomach reading these letters. I know they are still ruining our credit as we speak even more than they already have and will continue to do so even though the house is no longer ours. We are unable to get credit for dirt because of these people and in this messed up world there is no one to stop them and help out the little man. We are the bad people when people look at our credit and dont give a hoot as to the reason why. Hopefully they will have to pay out some cash, but they will continue to do what they do because the rake in a lot more then they are going to pay out, its just pocket change for them, more victims tomorrow.
