I placed a telephone order for Dean Grazioni's "BE A REAL ESTATE MILLIONARE" book. I paid the total price of $128.80, on August 29, on my visa charge card for the program, instead of the monthly payments from my charge card.
At the time, that I ordered the program, I informed the person taking the order, that, I was not aurthorizing any other charges associated with the program, and that if there were other charges to cancel the order. I was assured, there was not any other charges associated with the program.
I have found out that they have been charging $24.95 monthly on my Visa Credit Card, since August. (Total of $224.55 so far) as of this day May 29.
I contacted their customer service dept. At 1-800-341-1047. I talked to someone who said his name was Bill. He stated his operator # was 8,000. I ask to return the monthly fees to my Visa Card. He said no. He stated that there was nothing, that, I could do about it, and that I requested their e-mail service.
I informed him, that, I did not, and that, I did not use any of their e-mail service. I informed him that I did not request the e-mail service. I politely ask Bill if I could speak to a supervisor. He said no. I had to deal with him.
I informed him that, I would rather resolve this issue at the Customer Service level, andnot file it with any other agency. He stated, that, I can call any other agency I wanted, and they were not going to refund the charges. He restated, that, all he can do is put in a request to cancel the service. Cancellation # 7399153 (today May, 29).
I, then, opened the envelope that the book arrived in and found a letter from Amy Weaver with customer satisfaction, that stated, "if you have any customer related issues to please call 1-800-341-1047 which is the same as the first customer service number I called.
I called the 1-800-341-1047 number and asked to speak with Amy Weaver. I was told that there was no such person at that number. I informed this operator about the situation and the letter. He said that he will have his manager review the tapes. He said that his manager's name is Sunni Dadore, and that she will contact me. He then said that, if no one calls back, thete was nothing I could do.
I have the original letter I can fax to anyone.
I notified my credit card company. I was told I would get this month's payment back, and that they can only investigate the last 90 days, which, they are doing.
Can anyone inform me of any other agency, that, I can contact?
