On january 12,08 this company picked up my items at my home in california for delivery to florida. The original estimate was for 1000lbs. The driver claimed it was 2000lbs total to sign the paperwork to work out a deal. I refused they said i needed to drive to the weight station 2 hours away so i agreed. When i arrived they claimed my items now weight 4000lbs. And we told you to work out a deal. I new the weight was wrong so i refused to accept that and requested they re-weight the truck. They claimed the truck weight was 14,000. And with my items 18,000. Which they never weight the truck empty in front of me. I requested they empty the truck and weight the truck then my items.
They refused i was upsett and frustrated of arguing with these people i was so upsett. I called the supervisor multiple times he did not respond. I figure they where trying to rip me off so i could not trust this company to ship my items. I finally spoke with the supevisor and he said i needed to pay $95.00 for the unload of the truck. So i said i will pay you $95.00 to unload and weight the truck if your right i will pay you if you are wrong you must return my items to my home at no cost for lying to me and doing dishonest business. The supervisor refused and did not want to accept my offer. The driver said they needed to leave and i could pick up my items at there storage but i must pay. I refused to pay because they where lying to me from the begginning. The supervisor spoke with my fiance in florida and tried to work out a deal of $1900.00 when the original move was $750.00 i said no, i want my things in my house then they said i had to pay for 10 hours at $95.00 an hour if i wanted my items returned to my home, i felt black mailed why should i pay someone money for my own stuff.
This all took place at a gas station where there is a cat scale. I stood next to my car and the driver and 2 loaders got in the truck with the attempt of taking my items. I got on the truck stand and refused to move so they would not take my items. I called the supervisor again and proposed they unload and weight the truck and if they are right i would pay. He yelled and said i was not going to tell him how to run his business. The men got of the truck and unloaded my items on the dirty gas station floor and took off. My dinning table was damaged and a box had a whole it looked like my items had been kicked around. I was on the truck while they unloaded so they must have kicked my items when i did not see. The only money i paid was the reservation money and cancelled the credit cards.
I had to rent a uhaul and had strangers help take care of my items while i left to find a uhaul. I drove off in a uhaul then returned for my vehicle since i am a women and was alone it was really scary going through this.By the time i was able to return for my vehicle and got home it was past 1:00am. I believe i should of not gone through this my 4 year old son was with me and so scared he just said mommy i want my stuff back. These people are thieves and don't touch their hearts. I did contact my mom she contacted the police unfortunetely they never showed up, i was so scared i did not know how far these men would go.
