Interstate Moving
Consumer - fraud

1. Hired said company for $4500- 16,500lbs
2. Specifically asked "Edna" if this it the total amount, no hidden charges - stated yes.
3. Each subsequent phone call, a different story.
4. Guaranteed pick up, did not happen.

6. Did not give the company permission to place our items in storage. Company was contracted to move items from TX to PA. They unloaded everything and placed in their storage.
7. At pick up, workers sleeping in the house, driver yelling obsenities in the presence of children.

8. At pick up, truck already had a baby grand piano (not ours) in the truck. We later found that the piano weight is 570lbs, we were charged for 560lbs over 16,500lbs). Company was asked for proof of weight at a certified weigh station, company refused.

9. Weight of contents were quoted, by two other companies, not to exceed 16,500lbs.
10. Said company sent contracts after the pick up. Stated that I must sign to get our contents.
11. Requested a manifest. Company refused.

12. Contract given at drop off was forged. Dates, times, places not in the original agreement.
13. Charged for transportation charges - quote was to include them.
14. At arrival, driver had wrong amount for service.
15. Refused to permit me to change the amount, and initial it.

16. Contacted the dispatcher. Dispatcher said take it or leave it. If I "leave it" it will cost another $1,000 to get my contents back.
17. Dispatcher called me "a lier".
18. I proceded to write on the contract that this was not the correct amount, driver took the document from my hands.

19. I wrote on the credit card slips that the amount was incorrect. Total amount should be $4500.
20. Contents were found broken and damaged (some). Driver refused to allow me to claim the broken items. Company stated that contents were broken at our home - we had two witnesses there to watch, and observe contents. Contents were not broken at origin.

21. Noticed items were missing. Will have a complete missing list when contents are placed in our new home.
