I was getting quotes from movers in New York to move some new exercise equipment from NY to MT. I spoke with Dani from Allstate express moving and storage and was given the best price. I was assured from Dani that they use their own trucks and the equipment would only be moved once before delivery. So I purchased the equipment and set up a delivery date. The equipment was in storage so after pick up the seller of the equipment returned the keys of the storage unit.
Two days after the equipment was picked up I was contacted that the price was going to be double because they could not stack the equipment therefore it would take up more space on the truck. Dani said they would unload it and the seller could come and get it but the deposit is not refundable, so I authorized the charge on my credit card for delivery.
Three weeks later my items arrived. The truck it arrived in was not an Allstate truck but a truck that looked like it had been abandoned with graffiti all over it. The driver opened the door and I was shocked to see all of the equipment stacked 3 items high. The driver of the truck did not speak English and handed me papers to receive the shipment, all he would say is Sign, Sign. Every one of my items are damaged! I told him that I would contact the office with the damages.
The other items in the truck were going to Idaho and I could not imagine the distress on that family when they received all of their items in the condition that I saw them in.
I then spoke with Tisha and she said they would only pay $. 60 per pound for the damage. That won't even pay to have one machine fixed. I then sent all of the insurance paper work with pictures to the main office with a return receipt. The paperwork sat at the Post office for a month and was never picked up, then it was returned to me.
You put your trust in someone to handle your items as if they were their own but clearly this company has no heart or soul to it at all.
I would not recommend this mover to anyone, not even to move cattle!!
