These people called me all hours of the day and night about 30 times per day. I have a cell phone so after a while I just quit answering the phone. Well, one day I decided that I did need to go ahead and pay this debt. So I answered the next call.
That fellow proceded to curse me when I told him that I was about to lose my house and that a place for my children to live was top priority, not them. Then he told me that I was going to lose my house over this. The house is in my husbands name!
He told me that my husband was responsible for my debt. Well I hung up on him but went ahead and called back the next day to make arrangements. I set up 3 payments to make a settlement. That was the beginning of the end.
I made the first 2 payments on time but when it came time for the last one to be paid I called to ask them to not take the money out of my banking account and that I would make the final payment the following Friday.
They first told me I couldn't cancel my payment and that I would have to call my bank to cancel. Well I hung up with him and thought about it for a minute. I said well I could just ask them to MOVE the payment then it wouldn't have to be cancelled.
The next girl I talked to said if I made a payment of a smaller amount she would cancel the previous arrangement and then I could finish paying the rest the following week. Well I told her I couldn't pay any that week. And we hung up.
I then decided I would come up with the smaller amount and do those arrangements. So I called back and they wouldn't do that.
Then they said yes they would and the manager said she would personally contact her bank to make sure they didn't take the money for the previous arrangement out. Well that Monday I called my bank only to find out I was negative $250 because of them!
They had taken out the first arrangement and the smaller one and had another one set up for the next Friday! So they told me they would listen to their recordings and said that if thats what she said they'd refund me my bank fees.
Now they say they have no recordings and that they won't even refund me the smaller amount that was supposed to be over payment because I hadn't fulfilled my settlement! The girl told me I was being recorded for just those 3 payments!
Not any more than that! I want my $250 but can't get it! And everytime I ask them if I can record them they say no! And tell me that I can't have access to the recordings of myself! Now if I'm on that recording shouldn't I be able to listen to it?!
These people are just horrible! Everytime I confront them with what the other one said they say they have no proof of that. I would like to sue just to make them pay but I'm afraid that there's nothing I can do.
