I recently noticed that Asset Acceptance was reporting three derogatory collections on my credit reports. I wrote in to dispute the charges and requested debt validation that including the following information:
1. Copy of the original application showing terms of agreement.
2. Summary of my account activities including all purchases, payments, late charges, date of payments received and date payments posted.
3. All documents signed by me proving the amount of obligation.
4. Documented proof that this is my obligation.
5. Copy of the purchase agreement between myself and your corporation.
6. Copies of any and all collection notices sent to me by your corporation.
All I got back was a lame letter saying my name, false telephone number, account number, last four digits of my social number, principal and interest amounts owed.
These debts are so old (past SOL) and I am not sure where to go from here. How do I get AA to remove the info on my report?
