We entered into a contact with this business for contracted training of our son Brent Stuart. After sucessfully completing almost 2 years of training - Brent became unable to attend due to severe migranes. Brent has a medical condition which prevented him then - and now - from attending. We informed David the owner about the condition - and he understood. That was almost 2 years ago. When we returned from our summer vacation this August - we found that Shaolin Kung Fu had continued to accrue charges on our account (but never ever sent us a bill), and our bill over 2 years now appearantly comes to over $1200.00. It is unethical and unfair for this business to pursue this matter in this way.
They first of all agreed and understood that Brent was unable to attend due to a medical condition. Secondly - they never ever sent us a statement - and we were unaware that charges were accruing on our account until we received notice from a collection agency of all places.
We have sent the owner emails, left voice mails, etc and he never returns our calls. We have also sent a certified letter to the owner - letting
him know that we were and are extremely displeased with this business practice.
Your Desired Resolution:
We believe that our account should not be charged for any dates where Brent was unable to attend the academy due to his medical condition.
