I received my monthly telephone bill today and it contained a $12.95 charge incurred on April 14 for email discount network.
I had not authorized this nor knew anything about it. When I tried to call the number where it said "bill questions" I was told that number was not in service. I then called 800-730-8199. I was told that I had signed up for this service.
I told the party to remove the charge from my account immediately and I was also reporting it to the Oklahoma State Attorney General's office. She assured me that would not be necessary. She also stated if I received another billing next month to call them immediately. I told her there had better not be another billing to my telephone number.
This is strictly a ripoff and should not be allowed. I am also complaining to the Federal Trade Commission.
