Grand Getaways - American Travel And Great Destinations rebate ripoff should Kevin Reins middle name cause he's real smooth talking to my phone machine

The same things I am reading, I have lived too.

I have made it a quest not to be refused my rebates, two of them, gas rebates for a total of $40.00 each. They were promised to me with two different offers and I followed their detailed instructions for redemption. Those instructions require, for each rebate, to send three different of their forms in to them even before the first $10.00 (which is one of four $10.00 rebates totaling the promised $40.00 total) is to be sent to me.

Then in the fine print it says only one $10.00 rebate per month maximum. Imagine that it will take me 8 months to submit for both rebates. Wrong because you have to wait for them to return another form to you with the last $10.00 check which yes, you guessed, they haven't sent back either of the two rebates submitted and so I can't submit any more requests yet and still.

I waited from early May, after sending the original booklet entitled "The Gasoline Rebate Program", till June 15th for response. Now the rebate is good for one year till May but it will take longer than that the way the company makes sure not to respond.

On June 10th I received notice that said "Thank you for registering with the Gasoline Rebate Program." Then they told me I must now submit the "Validation Voucher" on the bottom of the page to receive the "Redemtion Voucher" to send in with a $10 gas receipt for payment back to me. I immediately mailed two off, each in their own respective envelopes, with their individual unique certicifate number.

It was August 16th when I received the first actual "rebate to get money with" otherwise called the Redemption Voucher. Late August I mailed out the gas receipts and redemption vouchers, each with their own id, in two separate envelopes.

The rest of that story. I did NOT get a rebate check. I started calling Kevin Reins office almost daily for about a month. I was told each time by the rep answering the phone that he answers all his phone calls and to leave a voice mail which I did repeatedly. Then, as mentioned in anothers report, I was told by the lady she had no idea about my messages bacause she had been out sick for a while and it was her first day back.

My phone calls became more determined. When I called the last several calls I took great time on the message machine to explain, including the certificate numbers, and in detail the events leading to my wanting to talk with him. While I was out Xmas shopping he called and spoke smoothly to my answering machine. It was 11:49A.M. On Wed. December 29.

Quote "My name is Kevin Reins. I'm with American Travel. I am returning your call from yesterday... Um... I have no idea WHY you called but I am returning your call... And that's 219-864-0100.in regards to... Um... Some gas program... Somehow we were tied into that... We have never offered a gas program. We have never taken any money for OUR gas program. We are in NorthWest Indianna. We are not connected to any company by the name of... Um... Grand Getaways in Florida. That's what it is. Sorry about it. But it's not us."

What a line of _ _ _ _. I intend to start calling again tomorrow till he is so sick of me like I am of them. They also always tell me he just stepped out or that he is there only 3 to 4 hours a day and always early morning. That makes it hard for me to call. I am sure Mr. Reins is a liar and not giving the due rebates is really crappy to the consumer as myself. Any suggestions for me. I'd love to know?
