I paid $10,000 in August. He stated he would invest my money and guarantee me a return of 5% per month for 6 months, at which time I could ask for my money back. He only paid me for September= $250, October = $500, and November = $500. This month he claims he was robbed and all the money is gone and that I will never get paid again. Below is the e-mail he sent me On Saturday November 13. This is the biggest lie I ever heard in my life! I don't know who Ace is. I have only ever dealt with John Lee and he was the one I paid. Please help me get this bastard!
11-4-04 I, John Lee was expecting Gianni (Ace) Karalis to come to my house and drop off $35,338.00 for October's Client Withdrawals and money for Ace Sports Network, Inc.
At around 11:30AM, I get a call from Ace very frantic to come over his house and I said What's wrong? He said Just come over.
Ace's story below (I have this exact statement, written & signed by Ace).
I, Gianni Karalis on November 4th was prepared to deposit $250,000 into Nevada State Bank acct # 600061535 for the purpose of funding 10 offshore sportsbook accounts to conduct Ace Sports Network daily management of clients accounts. All of the offshore accounts had been opened and waited funding to be activated. On the morning of 11/4/04, I prepared to go to the bank branch, which was waiting for the funds. As I walked out of my home, I put the funds, which were divided, between two bags. One men's Louis Vuitton handbag and one plastic department store bag.
The two bags were placed by my person under the back of the passenger side seat. On my way to the bank, I stopped at Starbucks located on W. Sahara as I did each morning while making my rounds to Las Vegas sportsbooks to conduct Ace Sports Network business.
I then parked my vehicle facing north in the parking lot adjacent to Starbucks. I proceeded to enter the Starbucks and waited behind one customer to order. I then ordered my drink and after paying for it preceded to my vehicle so that I can go to the bank.
As I entered my vehicle, I put my car in reverse and while backing up I heard a loud grinding sound coming from my front right tire. I got out of my vehicle and realized my tire was flat. Noticing I did not have my cellular phone with me at the time I took a few steps towards the Starbucks where I was about to go call my wife.
Realizing I was pressed for time I decided to drive the vehicle back to my home with a flat tire to take another vehicle. I traveled towards my home just on the rim alone. As I made my way up my street, due to the fact that the vehicle was making a very loud noise, my wife April Karalis looked out of our bedroom window and started yelling at me for driving on the rim.
She proceeded to come outside to let me know that she needed to get to work. At this point, I explained that I would put on the spare tire. I retrieved the jack and the spare from the trunk and changed the tire.
Upon finishing, I was about to go inside my home to wash up. On my way towards the door, I asked my wife if she would get the two bags from behind the passenger seat and put them in the other car. She got in the vehicle and after looking behind the seat; she only found a file folder, which contained the wire transfer paperwork. I assumed she was joking and I repeated to her to please grab the bags because I needed to leave.
She insisted that there were no bags in the car and I immediately opened the back door of the vehicle and searched the entire car for the bags. At that moment, I realized that the bags had been taken from the vehicle.
Ace said his personal client can possibly loan us the money so we can remain in business. I say your house is paid for so why don't we get a $250k home equity loan on the $400k house and we can make the money back. He says the house is in April (his wife) grandma's name and said he will talk to her about it.
11-5-04 Ace came over my house in the afternoon and told me his client would not extend the loan and I ask about the home equity loan. Ace told me April would not do it. I ask if I can speak to April and he said yes, she will be home around 7:30PM. We drive to Ace's house and when April comes home, I speak to her but she would not budge. I leave his house trying to think of another solution. I talk to Tom (Ace Sports Network partner) and he says he knows someone in Florida who has that kind of money and he will try to contact him.
11-9-04 Tom has finally contacted his friend and gave me his name and number to call at 6PM. I call and explain the situation and that we would be willing to give him 50% of Ace Sports Network (ASN) and go over all the aspects of ASN. He says he needs to think about it and will call me at 9AM the following morning to give me his answer.
11-10-04 His answer is no. I then decided that we need to talk to Dayle (ASN's biggest client) and let him know what happened and I try to pitch Dayle that if he could help us, we would be willing to agree to 50% of ASN and any terms he wants. He asks me to give him the terms we spoke of and we set a phone appointment for 9AM the following morning.
11-11-04 I call Dayle and he has his son is on the phone as they ask more questions on what happened last Thursday. He said he has a $1 million piece of property, 148 acres that his whole family enjoys as they like to go elk hunting. He has already placed a call to possibly get a $250k equity loan on the property. We go over the terms and we decide to talk again the following day at 12PM.
Dayle calls me and has more questions. He calls me again with more questions and wants me to speak to his wife. His wife had some tough questions and I answer to the best of my ability.
That evening, I speak to Ace to present the same tough questions Dayle's wife had for me and asked if he went to see his attorney to get the affidavit signed of his story. He says no. I ask why because he said he was going to do it in the afternoon. He makes an excuse. I start pressing as to why he would not put in writing what he has told everyone. He starts to get very defensive and I start to get very suspicious. Then Ace snaps You'll get you affidavit first thing in the morning but I'm done with this. I don't want you calling me or coming to my house and I'll tell Tom the same thing. I drive to his house and through his window says I told you that you'll get your affidavit and I'm going to tell you 1 time and I'm going to tell Tom 1 time, don't call me and don't come over. I'm done with this.
I leave his house feeling like why is he trying to walk away from this when he created the problem and we've been all trying desperately to fix the problem. I mean, my God, I've just spent the last year working 7 days a week and we were just getting of the ground and he losses all our clients' money and 1 week later says I'm done with this. Now, I start to see things from Dayle's perspective and call Tom to let him know what just happened.
11-12-04 Ace comes to my house with the his signed statement and has an earful for me saying my client is coming back with me and I want the names of all ASN clients' names and addresses. I call Dayle and leave a message to let him know the deals off. Dayle calls me back and I explain what just happened since last we spoke and he told me he just spoke to his attorney and the situation is that Ace embezzled the money from ASN. I agree and he told to call an attorney to hear it from the attorney and so it's not just coming from him. I call an attorney I know in town and explain what has happened this past week. He says you can start with this and then we'll have to do that and this situation could possibly require a $40k retainer. I tell him I'll call him back. I then call Tom and ask for him to speak to his attorney.
In my email to Ace on 11-12-04, I wrote.
Ace,
This morning you said I could give Dave Alan your address and that he could pick up his money next week and that you wanted all Ace Sports Network client's names and addresses.
I want to know what you plan to do with the information. Are you planning to pay back the client's money next week?

On 11-13-04, Ace replied.
What I said was, go ahead and save your ass. Its all you are all interested in anyway so since the plan is to let Ace hang, send everyone after me. Its what you plan on doing anyway as soon as you all realize no body is gonna buy into ASN. Just don't expect me to sit still like a bitch and let everyone stick it to me. Believe me, I made arrangements so give it your best shot. And I said I don't have anyone's money so they can come try what they want, make a move, I got back-up. I told you what I need, and why is none of your business. I gave you all what you wanted, signed and delivered. Don't make us wait for what I asked for. You needed to produce that affidavit, you got it. I need to produce the list. Leave it at that.

You can have the list but this email makes no sense. Just let me know why you want the list and I'll provide it. It's really that simple.

At this point, I am going to file a complaint with Las Vegas FBI on Monday 11-15-04. Tom is still trying to contact his attorney friend and he will try to set an appointment for the 15th as well.in addition, I have all the cash transfer forms when a client starts a ASN Managed Account signed by Ace.
I spoke to everyone individually and let everyone know I have a good business opportunity that is close to launching soon. I will honor all ASN clients' initial investment through my 50% equity in Moby Wireless, Inc. Because it is the right thing to do.
I would like to ask that all ASN clients join Ace Sports Network, Inc.in possibly pursuing a criminal fraud litigation against Gianni (Ace) Karalis (Tom & I have to speak to his attorney first).
I am giving all the clients' names, phone numbers and email addresses (below) so the clients can discuss this situation. I am available to take any calls regarding this situation and I will keep everyone posted.
