My wife and I entered into a contract with Global Equity Network, USA to sell our Timeshare on August 7. The inventory manager at the time was David Ross and he supervised the paperwork for Global Equity Network. David said to give him a call in 30 days to get an update on the sale. We called on September 10 to speak with David. I was told at the time that no one knows where he is and that Melissa Davis will handle his accounts. Melissa is the office manager. She assigned the account to Craig and said if we do not hear anything from him by 4:00 pm EDT to call her and she would take care of the account.
Called on September 11 and talked with Demetrea. At that time, she said that everything is looking good. They are looking for two sales to fill the group. She said that she would call me back on September 29.
On September 29, I called and left two messages. No one called back
On September 30, I spoke with Alisha at 2:00 pm and she said that she would call back. I called at 4:00 pm and Alisha told me that she is trying to get the file from Melissa. I called again at 7:00 pm and she gave me the same story. I called again at 8:30 pm since they close at 9:00 pm EDT and no one was there.
On October 1, I called and spoke again with Alisha, and again she claimed that the file is still with Melissa. I told her I think that they are involved in a scam and that I may need to contact the Attorney's General Office. She said that she would get the file from Melissa, discuss with her some options, and call back. She also said that there is nothing in my file. Just a note saying that Melissa will call me on September 29. Now this is also the same file that she said sheis trying to get from Melissa to see what is going on.
On October 3, I spoke again to Alisha since it is almost impossible to talk with Melissa and she told me that they are calling all of their clients on Saturday and offering a refund and that they will follow thru with the contract to sell the timeshare. She even asked when the best time would be to reach me. No one called.
On October 6, I called again at 8:30 pm EDT and left a message because no one would answer the phone. Left message with them telling them who I was and what Alisha told me about calling all clients on Saturday and that she did not call.
On October 7, I called at 3:00 pm EDT, asked for Melissa, and was told that she was not in. Left message for her to call. I called again at 6:00 pm EDT and was told that Melissa would call back in 20 minutes. Called back at 8:00 pm EDT and talked to Melissa. She said that would call back the morning of October 9 in the morning.
On October 9, I called again since Melissa still refused to call back. Left a message and was told by one of her assistants' that she would call me in about an hour.
On October 10, I called twice and both times, they hung up on me.
On October 13, I called again and left a message on Melissa's voice mail. Talked to Alisha and got her normal response that Melissa has my file and that she will try to get it and see what is going on and that she will call me back. She never did.
On October 14, I called again and they hung up twice, because we complained about their non-existence customer service about how anyone refuses to return any phone calls. On the third call Demetrea said that Melissa would call in one hour when she get is back. That call also never happened.
On October 15, I called again because Melissa will not. I was told that they are doing callbacks today and that to give them until 8:00 pm EDT to call back. That call also never happened.
On October 16, I called at 2:00 pm EDT to find out why I never received yesterday's callback. Alisha said that Melissa will be in a meeting for the next hour or two. She said to call back and that Melissa will speak to me then. I called back at 3:45 pm EDT and was told to call back in 30 minutes because she was still in the meeting. I called back at 4:30 pm EDT and was told to call back in 20 minutes. Called back at 5:20 pm EDT and at 5:35 pm EDT and they just hung up. Called at 5:40 pm EDT and was told that she was still in the meeting and to call back in one hour. At 6:40 pm EDT was told that she was still in the meeting and call back in 20 minutes. Called back at 7:30 pm EDT, 7:45,8:00,8:15, and 8:30 each time they hung up after putting me on hold between 10-30 minutes.
On October 17, I called at 3:55 pm EDT. Alisha said to call back in 10 minutes and I promise you can talk to her. Called back at 4:05 pm and was send to Melissa's voicemail. Called back at 4:07 pm was placed on hold three time's after being asked who I was on hold for three times. The last time on hold was for 20 minutes and was told that I cannot be on hold that long and that I need to call back or Melissa will call me in about 20 minutes. I called at 4:55 pm Jessica took a message for Melissa to call me. I also told her that her company is on usacomplaints.com. Jessica also put that in the message thinking that maybe Melissa will call back. She said that the company is legitimate and that she just started working their. She asked if I filed a complain yet on usacomplaints.com, I told her not yet. Melissa again refused to call back
I do not believe any attempt is being made to fulfill the contract. If any attempt were being made, they would not refuse to call their clients. Is this company running a scam?
