As a property manager, I recently was convinced by a shady salesman at Colonial Home Warranty to buy 7 warranties.in the pass 7 months and was not able to get them to cover any legitimate claim which my previous Home Warranties covered easily. First, because they don't pay good to the service providers, they are the most inexperienced and novice who can cannot find customers. Second, i never had a situation to respond to in a timely fashion (as their contract calls within 48 hours). Third, the inexperienced service provider comes and collects the initial diagnosis and disappears for good. When you call you will be told the item was not covered without much explanation; you then call to the Colonial to find out why; after waiting many minutes to be connected to a supervisor, they give you many excuses not to cover the covered items. As a property manager any my experiences dealing with other home warranty, they don not cover even their covered items that are in their own contract. Don't fall in this trap as I did.
