American Management System LLC Advertise on internet selling Luxury Sheets, Egyptian Cotton, 1500 Thread Count. No packing slip, told me I could not return for refund. Sheet set never removed from plastic! Emailed Glenda. Very unp

I want a refund! I went to the website in search of deep pocket, high thread count 100% cotton sheets. I ordered a queen size set advertised as "1500 Thread Count, 100% Egyptian Cotton" at a cost of $48.90. When the package arrived, I took the plastic zippered package containing the sheet set labeled "JS Sanders Collection" out of the box and noticed how light weight the package felt to be high thread count cotton. I unzipped the clear plastic package and felt the edge of the first fabric layer and knew I had been ripped off. I immediately zipped the package closed, placed it back in the shipping box and contacted the company via email asking for information to return the sheet set for a refund. Copied below are my emails to the company and their replies to date.

After comparing the sheet set I received with others I purchased locally; I am disappointed with the fabric weight and quality. I had expected a thicker feel with the higher thread count. I have only felt of the fabric with the set still in the zippered cover. I would like to return the set for a refund and need to know how that should be done. Thank you

As shown on our web site, any legitimate manufacturers defects are exchanged for the same size and color in 30 days. As these are items of a personal nature, we can not resell them to the next person as new if returned and then resold.

Dear Sir or Madam,

As I stated in my first message... I only felt the fabric... I did not take the set out of the plastic zippered package. The set is exactly as it was delivered to me. I cannot see any reason to refer to any personal nature when the item has not been removed from the original package.

Considering your response to my return request, the name of your company, the lack of any packing/shipping information sent inside the box with the item purchased, and the unprofessional way you have handled "customer service", I now have doubts that the item I purchased was worth the price.

I am not sure you understand. We guarantee them to be brand new, not refolded and resold like the stores do and then there's hair or other stuff on them. The only way we can insure this is to have the guarantee that we do and this way, they are under our control.

Gdt,

You do not understand that I did NOT take the set out of the plastic package... I did NOT unfold the contents, I only touched the edge of the top layer of the folded material and immediately re-zipped the plastic package and replaced it in the shipping box. I probably handled this item less than your own personnel. Again, I am requesting a refund of the purchase price and I will return the item exactly as I received it.
