I searched the internet for 100% cotton sheets and thesheetpeople.com came up. They advertised 1500 thread count Egyptian sheets for a very good price. Their website explained that their prices were so low because they went directly to the manufacturer and cut out the middle man. I purchased them and received them quickly, but the sheets I received were 100% microfiber made in China. They had no phone number on their website, so I sent them an email without getting a response. I also checked them out more thoroughly (should have done that in the beginning) and found that many other people complained of being deceived as well. I was finally able to find a phone number for them and had to leave a message. A man called me back and when I told him that I would like a refund since the sheets were not as advertised and that I could not use them since my husband cannot tolerate microfiber or other synthetic materials, he said that they only make exchanges for the same product, not refunds. When I told him that his website was deceptive, he told me that the advertising phrase 1500 thread count Egyptian sheets in no way implied content nor cotton. It was a lifestyle that he was selling and that surely I didn't expect cotton sheets at the prices he was offering. He became very belligerent and I had to hang up on him.
