I bought sheets from Overstock.com, I wanted Egyptian Cotton, the first set I sent for were the wrong thing, just regular cotton, made in China, but... That was my mistake, I ordered the wrong thing, or so they say, not sure. So, I sent them back, it cost me 15.80 for postage, still, my mistake, I can live with that. Then they sent me an email telling me that there was a 4.95 handling charge. Again, okay, I will live with that, but... When I realized that I sent for the wrong sheets, I immediately sent for Egyptian Cotton sheets.
When the sheets came, they were in the same package as the first set, they looked and felt exactly the same as the first set, so I looked at the tag, and the only difference in these sheets was that the tag said Egyptian cotton. Now, I own 3 sets of Egyptian Cotton sheets and I know that these sheets have never been near the Nile, they are stiff and scratchy, nothing like Egyptian Cotton. The only thing Egyptian Cotton on these sheets were the words, Egyptian Cotton. Now, I could have sent them back again, but with the wonderful return policy, I would have spent another 15.80 on postage, plus the nominal 4.95 handling fee, which would mean that I had spent 41.50 and had nothing, absolutely nothing to show for it!!! Their return policy is so bad that they get away with selling fake low quality merchandise, and you don't return it because it costs so much to send it back, I will never shop there again, and would certainly warn others not to bother with their "Egyptian Cotton" sheets.
