National Moving Network arranged to move me from NC to FL. The decision to move had been quick and I needed to move quickly, they assured me all would be in order for the scheduled move. I spoke to several people at National Moving Network but was passed to Walter 3-4 days before move was scheduled.
Walter and I could only play phone tag as he was never available when I called. Finally we caught up with each other, still at 2 days before the scheduled move he could not tell me who the movers would be, nor had the movers contacted me as promised. I was not comfortable with the whole situation so I informed Walter that I wanted to cancel the move. He responded that I could cancel but that I would lose the $500.00 deposit, even though I was told I could cancel at any time and receive my deposit back.
I then informed Walter that I would contact my credit card company and have them do a charge back, but National Moving Network would not be getting my $500.00. He then threatened that they would report me to Equifax etc. Etc. I stuck to my word and asked my credit card company to do a charge back. I had all the email correspondence and explained the situation to the credit card company. I'm glad to report that after 7-10 days, I received my entire $500.00 deposit back by credit card company. I'm all for supporting a Class Action Suit against National Moving Network.
