My 2yr old refrigerator was surged during hurricane Iran. The digital panel went out leaving the cubed ice button blinking. I called Samsung and they suggested a call a repair man. So I called Sears. They showed up walked to the panel pressed the ice button and the filter button together for 3 seconds. The panel lit up and stated to work again. He then turned and stated that will be $237! I almost went through the roof. There was no reason why Sears or Samsung couldn't have had me try that first.
