I purchased some fill dirt from Truckee River Rock in Reno, Nevada. I carefully measured the length and the width of the area to be filled. I gave a man who did not identify himself as the owner but I later found out that he was the owner - my measurements and he told me how much dirt I needed. I can't remember his name right now but I can find out agian.
This was a very painful experience that I have tried to forget. Any way, I paid over $150 for fill dirt which sounded a little high but what do I know being a young woman and a first time homeowner with such concerns.
The dirt was delivered and dropped in my driveway. I needed to fill an area about one foot deep one foot wide and thirteen feet long. I got a huge pile on dirt and large boulders that filled the whole dump truck and my driveway!
I complained rather loudly but the driver just took off. So I went to talk to this guy. I asked to speak to the owner and was told he was not there even though I was actually talking to him.
This guy was so condesceding and rude I started to cry he then started to make fun of me and laughed. It was as if he new I really could'nt do anything, he just said that I gave him the wrong measurements. He even had the nerve to charge me to come and pick up the dirt.
I had the original paper that I had written the measurements on and he said he did not believe me and threw me off the property, all the while ridiculing me Since then I have spoken to two other women that he has done the same thing to. He screwed over the ladies that own The Weekend Gardner in Reno and a lady named Mary Puckett. I
Beleve Mary knows a lady that he did the same scam to This guy is a real piece of work I wonder how he stays in business.
