I moved from my current address, notifying the company in advance. I had overpaid by over one thousand dollars. They refuse to refund the amount, due to a contract I had signed for long-term service with them.
I explained that I wasn't CHANGING companies, I was MOVING and didn't need propane anymore. It didn't matter one iota to them.
I have since received an additional billing for over two thousand MORE! This, presumably, will be for propane I had contracted for but HADN'T used and which they are free to resell (and will).
This practice is not only immoral, it certainly does not speak well of a national firm and it's business practices. BEWARE Suburban Propane and sign with them only after careful consideration, if at all!
