I recently brought to the attention of a local news station (NY) about the price gouging practices of Surburban Propane. Every month the price of my propane went up by a dollar or more a gallon. First fill up in October was 3.9390/gal and my latest bill for February was 5.5890/gal. They also have an annual rental fee of $72. Another trend of the billing is the reg fee has increased from $5.62 to $9.62 per month. If you check out the 2009 fiscal annual salary of the top executives you may be shocked-Michael Dunn President and Chief Executive Officer; Member of the Board of Supervisors Suburban Propane Partners, L.P. Salary $425,000 then add in all the stock awards and compensation-grand total=$1,366, 121.00 that's one executive of this company who is making a million dollars a year during a recession because there is no regulation on propane and the average consumer is once again paying for it. I for one will not be getting any more propane from this company.
