I had a GE Triton XL dishwasher that wasn't draining properly. Sears Home repair service sent a contractor who cleaned out my drain then instructed me to run Dishwasher Magic in my machine and use extra hot water. He left, I followed instructions and shortly thereafter started smelling smoke. Immediately called service center they said they'd call the service tech. Never heard from anyone. Had to schedule another repair appointment. Same tech arrived. Repeatedly said he didn't do anything to cause it. Turned out my motor was burned out and all the plastic pieces from the motor to the drain were disintegrated. He gave me a $40 coupon for a new dishwasher. Good luck getting resolution from the 800 number as no one speaks or understands English.
