Ford Cracked My Windshield - Repair on wiper linkage

I have a 2000 Ford Focus and the wiper linkage on my focus stripped out and the wipers would not rotate back and forth. I contacted Tower Ford, Coos Bay, Oregon to schedule a repair of the linkage. On 1/7 and Tower Ford replaced my wiper linkage. On 3/8 I notice on the lower Left Corner "drive side" that a crack was running from the window being chipped on the edge of the window. The edge of the window is below the (cowl grille). I took my focus in for the Service Advisor to look at. He said there were no visible signs of a rock chip. I mentioned to him that the only way for this crack to happen was from it being chipped by his service tech. At the time my linkage was replaced. He told me he would talk with the service teck that performed the repairs and later that day called me back and told me the tech said he did not cause the crack to my windshield. I told him that it is odd that the crack started in the same area that he had to remove the linkage to be replaced. He then told me that Tower Ford would not replace my windshield. I then ask to talk with the Service Manager and he said he would relay my request to him to contact me back. On 3/10/10 the service manager called me back and after a long discussion. He said it has been 3 months since the service took place when actually it has been 2 months from my receipt date. The crack in at a place that you don't generally look and has a black strip along the bottom so if I am just not noticing the crack it could be because it was hidden and has got to the point that is now more visible to see. The service Manager told me the same thing as the Service Advisor that they were not responsible and that they would not replace my windshield. I honestly believe that because of the crack not created by a rock and the location of it started below the (Cowl Grille) there is no other way for it to crack unless it was cracked at the time of the repairs.
