I just purchased a 2011 Honda Odyssey in May. Less than ONE WEEK old, windshield has a crack starting behind the windshield wiper: 6 inch crack going up vertical then turn to driver side another 4 inch when initially observed. Now it’s about 1ft long horizontally. Took it to the dealer – Pickering Honda. Service Mgr said it’s a impact - sorry but can't fix it under warranty. I'm furious. Image stone hit behind wiper in a week, What a chance! Even both Service and Sales Mgrs agree that the impact could already exist when I picked the car. But they shrug shoulders and say it’s not covered by the warranty. I have to pay the cost of $550 for repair.

This is a 46K brands new car and this fiasco will make any customer angry. I have another Honda serviced in this dealer for last 5 years. I am not going back and definitely take this extra expensive Odyssey elsewhere for service. For sure, this dealer will lose far more than $550 from my pocket. From various Honda customer websites, windshield glass crack complaints are quite common.in fact there is a class lawsuit and won by customers on Honda cars: http://www.gilardi.com/hondaelement/. I will file a complaint to Better Business Bureaus Canada and go further.
