Corporation Introduces sub-standard products to customers. Ripoff!

I have always felt confident when purchasing a Maytag product, but apparently the company has changed significantly.in 2000 we purchased a Maytag side by side refrigerator believing it would be a great product. (We purchased it through SEARS - who are also brain surgeons when it comes to servicing)

We have had continous problems: The ice-maker leaked (it was "fixed" three times before it was right), the door bins kept falling out (they sent us parts to install to hold them in), the door rubbed on the refrigerator frame everytime it closed, the covers for the floor wheels fall off all the time, the light near the ice dispenser now stays on all of the time (I took out the bulb to shut it off.) I am amazed at how many things have gone wrong with this appliance.

Because of the "amount" of problems, I contacted Maytag when the last problem (the light) happened, explaining to them my disappointment with their product and asked them to fix the light for free based on the NUMEROUS defects with this refrigerator - they declined. I am amazed that a corporation this large fails to stand behind their products. Because of their poor customer satisfaction/service, and unreliable appliances, I will never again purchase another Maytag product.instead I bought the Whirlpool front loading washer instead of the Maytag Neptune - thank goodness because it appears Maytag is having serious problems with this product also! Good-bye Maytag!
