We ordered the Eden Pure G-7 air purifier since we live in region that gets its share of dust. At first the machine would cut off by itself. After a few weeks this problem did not occur. After one month we cleaned the primary filter and catalytic screen, which were both extremely dirty, and wiped out the interior. However, we noticed a white dust underneath the machine, but continued to run it. Over time, we noticed that this white dust was settling on our bedroom furniture which was where the purifier was located. Our ceiling fan was covered with this white dust. We ran the machine continuously and the more it ran, the more we had to dust. We had to dust every week. You could actually write your name in the dust on our dresser in a week's time. We had no windows open, and have a new house with a good ventilation system, but this dust was everywhere in the bedroom. This didn't help my husband's allergy problem. Even after cleaning the filters, the dust was back within a few days. This machine was putting out more pollution than it took in.
Unfortunately when I looked at the consumer report on this purifier, it was rated last out of all the ones they tested, and it was found to have a higher than recommended ozone level. To think we were breathing in all of that pollution as we slept is really scary. The machine is now unplugged. We personally do not recommend this product, and advise consumers to do their research homework before buying.
