The moving company was suppose to be at my place at 8 in the morning on the first of August (I had confirmed this twice over the net and on the phone. They called at 9am and said they were not sure when they were going to be able to come. I was worried because I had to leave the apartment vacant for a new tenant for noon... I had to call 2 or 3 times to see what time they were coming (they never had a time for me). They finally called me to say that no they were not be able to move me before noon (obviously). Meanwhile I had to move everything out of my place by noon on the front yard and the porche. The whole purpose of hiring a moving company is to NOT do it YOURSELF or asking for friends help.
They finally arrived at 3:00pm.
They were 7 hours late.
I was told that the guys that were suppose to do my moving canceled because they had to much to drink the night before. So they had to give me 2 guys that already had their full day of work. They were to tired to move me in my other apartment/and or had to be somewhere else. I was stranded for the night. They said 3 other guys would move me the morning after.
I was not delivered my belongings at my new apartment on the same day and was left with nothing. Not even an offer to bring my bed.
And the worse of it all is that they did not even give me any discount after I explain the situation to different persons.
3 days after the owner call me and said he was sorry and asked me what would be a fair compensation. I said I did not want to pay for half since I had to move my stuff out and for all the stress and complications. He said no. Then he said he could give me back 60$. I was pretty disappointed and said well so be it... He said he would send me a check and I never received it.
