My mother sold her house after 30 years and contacted A-1 Moving to help her move. The house sold in late July and her new apartment was not available until Aug. 1, so A-1 Moving moved some stuff from the house to storage, and then was supposed to move the same stuff from storage to the apartment on Aug. 1. The cost was $400.
On Aug. 1, when my mother went to move into the apartment, she found out the apartment would not be available until the afternoon of the 1st. The movers had made plans to be there at 9:00. My mother called them and explained the situation, but they refused to work with her.instead, they took the $400 from her debit card and never returned any of her calls. She was forced to call another mover to move her stuff into the apartment after Aug. 1. She still has not heard back from Jim at A-1 Moving, despite several phone calls to try to resolve this.
