I have used Soft Touch Moving three times now and will never do so again!!! They moved my things out of my apartment and put them in storage and did the same for my sister's apartment in August. At the end of August they were to move my sister's stuff in to her new apartment, and leave mine in storage until the end of September. They ended up bring all of her stuff and my stuff to her apartment. It took hours for us to help them sort through what things stayed at my sister's apartment, and what things were mine, and needed to go back in storage. How convienent since they get paid $70/hr.
Finally they got my sister moved in, but then at the end of September they had to bring my things an hour north to Indianapolis, to my new apartment. They charged us $3.50/mile, plus $70/hr. When they got there they had many pieces of furniture that were not mine, which again we had to sort through. Once when we were not paying attention they had couches set up in my apartment that were not even mine. They set my bed frame up and went to put my mattress on it, and realized that was not mine either.
I never got my kitchen table, chairs, head board, and some lamps. They still charged us the full price, which ended up being over $600, and they were suppose to bring the rest of the furniture that night, but they never did and we could not get in touch with them. I'm still waiting to hear back when they can deliver my stuff!
Not to mention the workers were constantly yelling at each other, and managed to mark up every wall in my new apartment, and never offered to clean it up, or even acknowledge they did it, with a simple sorry. Even the guy installing my cable at the time of the move was commenting on how unproffesional these movers were. They were also 2 hours early, and kept calling me at work to start moving, although I couldn't let them in because they were suppose to be there at 2 not 11:45!!
So if you want to get over ripped off, charged to much, and possibly never see your belongings again, than go ahead and use Soft Touch Moving, I however will not do so ever again!!!
