On July 8th I was at The Lighting Outlet picking out a chandalier. When I finally decided on one the sales person, who I later found out was the owner, told me that it had already been ordered and they would be expecting it within ten days. I left a deposit and agreed to pay the balance when the chandalier was delivered.
As of July 24th it had yet to be delivered. I called The Lighting Outlet to let them know that I no longer wanted the chandalier and would like my deposit back. I was told that a manager would call me back, but three days later I still hadn't heard from anyone.
Finally I called them on the 27th, and demanded my money back. I was then told that this had been a "special order" and there would be no refund. Looking at my invoice I informed him that nowhere did it say "special order" or indicate that there would be no refunds. Also that I had been told that the chandalier had already been ordered prior to me even entering the store. How that constitutes a "special order", I'll never know.
At this point they continue to refuse to refund my deposit and I have decided to seek other avenues to right this situation.
If you are looking for any type of lighting I suggest looking anywhere but The Lighting Outlet.
