Possible Fraud Rental Information, Scam and ID theft Arvada

Somebody named "David Thompson" posted an apartment rental information on Denver. Craigslist.org. He said there was an unit located on 6530 Coors St, Arvada 80004? For rent.

After I sent the request, He replied me like below:

Please go to www.eRentalApplications.com to fill out a basic rental application to check tenant history, references, and verify employment. Your social security is NOT REQUIRED and YOUR CREDIT WILL NOT BE PULLED at this time. After the application will be reviewed you will be contacted to set up time to see the property. The process is simple. Just use the following steps and within minutes your application will be forwarded for review.

Go to www.eRentalApplications.com and follow these steps:

On the homepage click on the APPLY TODAY button
Find the property address (for which you will be applying)
Fill out the application
Pending approval you will be contacted regarding your application as soon as possible

Thanks.

After I finished my informaiton on the website, I was forwarded to paypal and requested to pay 14.95 so called "processing fee".

I stopped there and sent the "David" a email about my concern and said I was willing to pay the fee when we visted the property. Here came the second mail:
Hello again,

That's understandable. The reason why I use eRentalApplication.com is to save time and to meet all potential tenants who are interested in the property through that site. I can see who qualifies then I will contact them and meet only with qualified parties and not waste anyone's time. SSN# IS NOT REQUIRED! I've had multiple applications submitted regarding this property already. It's a basic rental application to check some references and tenant history. I won't run your credit until you decide for sure that you want rent this property.

Thank you for your time and interest.

After then, he just dissapeared. I read some report before and surprisingly found some ppl got exactly same email as I got. It is a very impossible scam. I got ripped off although I didn't pay the money, since he stole my personal information and my references' information!

Be extremely careful!
