We were visited by a sales Rep at our home after viewing a demonstration at the county fair. We were given a hard sale and convinced we should purchase their equipment and that we would save a considerable sum on cleaning products and rust removal agents due to our extremely hard well water. After loans, finance etc the entire bill totaled $3651.00. It was installed in Fall of 1993.
We have since replaced 4 timers and shear pins (the only part NOT covered by life time warranty). We spend more money per year on products such as "Iron Out" "Zud" and other rust removal products for our fixtures and clothing. (We had a very reliable system prior to purchasing the Rain Soft)
We were also told to purchase and install an additional filtering system due to the "Rotten egg" smell. (acidizing our well fixed that, the filter did not). We were told to add bleach to our brine tank for "live rust" as the rain soft did not take care of that.
We now experience EXTREMELY salty water, which is unfit to drink, cook or bath in. (Husband showered in the "Dead Sea" this morning. We will call for service tomorrow... Bets are on the timer again!
I wouldn't recommend this company to the worst of my enemys!!!
