I purchase a Genie Excelerator Garage door Opener Dec and on Dec 26 the garage door opener would not completely close. Upon investigate the Screw drive in the rail system broke in half. I called genie customer service and warranty and described the problem and Genie REFUSED to warranty the parts. The Genie Excelerator comes with a lifetime manufacturer parts warranty. I performed the door balance test as instructed by the genie rep and the garage door passed the test. I have called Genie twice with the same result... Genie refuses to replace the part or send a service dealer to review the part in the installed state. I would expect Genie to honor the warranty stated on the products when purchased.
