I placed my furniture order on the phone on May 6. The total cost is $1250 and they required me to pay a half amount first ($625) to place the order. The other half will be charged at the time my furniture is ready to delivery. They also said that will call me upon the delivery. All transaction was made via the phone.
I paid $625 on May 6 and the seller promised that the item will be delivered in about 3 or 4 weeks. On June 6 i called back to check the status and the seller said everything is almost ready to ship. I believed him and paid the rest amount off ($625). After one week of waiting, i did not receive any call or info from the seller. I called back and he said the furniture factory is closed and i have to wait until Jun 23 to get my shipment. Seller also promised i will get the item on June 24 or Jun 25
June 25 past and nothing happened, i called him back and he said the item is out of stock. He claimed that my shipment will come from Ashley Furniture on June 26 and everything will ready to go between June 30 and July 3.
I called back today (June 30) to see if my order is ready. Once again the seller said the factory is out of stock and it will be ready after July 20.
I feel myself is in middle of a scam right now. I called the seller 6 times today (June 30) and i did not see him. His coworker said "Oh, He having lunch right now, please call back in 20 minutes". I called back after 20 minutes and his coworker said "he went out for a while, he will call you back within one hour". One hour passed and nobody called me. I phoned back and he said "oh he is on the floor with some customers, he will call you back in 30 minutes". 30 minutes passed and nothing happened. I called back again and "oh he leave for work today, he'll be here 10AM tomorrow". I asked his coworker if there is anything he could help me on my order and he said "No, i'm new here. Everybody left and i'm the only one stay in here". I questioned him why in a 10000 square-foot furniture show room and there is only one guy left. He answered "yes, i do everything. Please call back tomorrow to see Jeff"
I dont understand why everybody left the store and there is only one guy left to work. To store is close at 7:00PM and it was 5:15PM when he talked to me. It does not make any sense to me any all.
Overall, i just want my money back or they deliver the shipment before July 4th since i have to leave for Europe for 6 weeks. I told him when i paid the money that i have to leave in July and please deliver it before July 4th. He said "Ok, we are working on it. Dont worry"
I placed couple furnitures online last month with other stores and i received them in about 5-6 days. They also sent me the tracking number and the receipt both in the mail and e-mail. However, more than 7 weeks and nothing happened at Metropolitan Living Furniture
My order are 6 Ashley Furniture D 501-101 Hendler Side chairs (115*6= $690), 1 Ashley Furniture D501-50T Hendler Table Top ($147), and 1 Ashley Furniture D501-50B Hendler Table Base ($257). Shipping is $75 and tax is $95.27. They also give me $14.27 discount. The total is $1250.00 and i already paid it off. I also notice that my item is no longer available on there website
Called seller today (July 01) and seller guaranteed that everything will be delivered on July 23. He also guaranteed that he will return 100% money back if no furniture delivered on July 23. I asked him about canceling my order and he said that it will take more than 10 business days to process and he has no power to do that. Finally, i gave have one last chance to deliver my furniture on July 23th. If nothing happen after that, i'll file my law suit.
