In February of this year Mr Rick Hard, owner of Stone Oak Lawn Association and I entered into a verbal agreement to have some work done on my home. We agreed that $700 was more than substantial to complete the work and any additional money would be used to plant flowers around my property. Mr Hard was to begin the work immediately, but said he would have to work it in on weekends. I agreed to that condition. After several weeks, no real work had been done at the home. I spoke to Mr Hard on the phone and he explained he had been sick and he would begin and complete the work in a few days. After about another week, there was no visible work done in my yard. I contacted Mr hard again and told him that I wanted to get somebody else to do the work that it was taking too much time for him to even get started. I knew that he had purchased some of the materials and offered to take possession of the materials along with the appropriate receipts and deduct the cost from the money I had paid him. He responded that he would need to collect the receipts and he would send me the receipts and a refund check in the mail within a few days. When he finally sent me the receipt for supplies, he had also invoiced me and tried to charge me $200 for labor that did not happen. I contacted him again and told him that I only agreed to pay for the materials and I would not pay for labor tht did not happen. He told me I would be lucky to receive anything at all becasue his time is valuable. However since his valuable time was not spent on the service that I hired him for that statment has no bearing on me. He has said he will return $115 to me and my family. I have been scammed and essentially paid $585 to get my lawn cut and have a minimal amount of supplies dumped in my back yard. I told Mr hard on phone messages that I would be willing to accept half my money back. Even though none of the work was done. He told me that he doesn't owe me anything and I am lucky to get the $115 dollars back because his time is valuable. I have been scammed by Mr Hard and Stone Oak lawn Association.
