As one who was proud to go to work for Ashely Home Stores in Houston, in the fall of with its many promises of great service, quality furniture, and affordable pricing; I was terribly disappointed to see how they did not in fact live up to their promises.
The product while not being of great quality, is functional and the photo finish surfaces on wood solids do indeed look great at first glance. As it is designed to be affordable furniture for the masses. Unfortunately the more I sold the more customer service problems became evident. Furniture was dropped, scratched, delivered broken, or color mis-matched, and much more.
In Houston the license for Ashely is held by Fingers Furniture, and they appear to have substantial issues with faulty damaged delivery of products. My final day there I recieved one negative phone call after another from disatisfied customers who could not recieve timely repairs, or replacements for broken furniture. Some had trash left in their yards from the packing, others had sofas with broken arms, still another mismatched leaves in a table, and one was missing chairs for a dining room set. How sad. The product is decent but seems to get mishandled a great deal in the Houston area, resulting in many angry customers wanting and needing repairs. Be very careful if you buy from Ashley in Houston to verify that the product is in proper conditon before you accept it in your home.
