We ordered tile for our restaurant from www.bid4floors.com because they had the best price and promised the order would ship out immediately. We needed the tile laid ASAP so we could continue the build and get our ski area restaurant open by Christmas.
Turns out they didn't have the tile in stock and even though every time we called they would tell us it was "in transit" we never got a tracking order. From Nov. 16 to December 11 we tried to get our tile and kept being told it would come later and later.
Finally on December 12 at 6pm the tile arrived in boxes that were clearly opened (possibly returned because they were all slightly chipped on the edges from rubbing together) More than half the boxes were damaged and the tile too but we couldn't refuse any part of the shipment because we had to move on with the build. The salesperson told us several times a manager would call us back but no one did.
DO NOT order from them because they will lie, mislead, con or tell you whatever to get that order. Its possible they send substandard, or returned inventory from the example we got. The delivery driver said he never saw tile arrive like that (it was a private delivery company) and it took him an hour and a half to bring it in because the boxes weighed 30 lbs or more.
Bid4floors responded by telling us about their return policy to only accept the non damaged portion of the order and then wait for the replacements to arrive. Unfortunately we needed to lay the tile right away and at 7:30 pm the Driver wanted to go home (we are in vail and he had the two hour drive to DENVER) not wait for us to sift through 26 boxes of quarrey tile.
Do not order from them. I've never dealt with a more incompetant site. They didn't give our number to the Delivery company as well as gave them the wrong unit number, even thought it was right on our order reciept. Also, when they realized they could not deliver the tile by the day after thanksgiving they stopped the order completely to verify with us that we still wanted to order. However, they didn't call us or email us and still billed the card! They claimed when we called looking for a tracking number that someone was supposed to call but they didn't have the phone number again something clearly on our order confirmation reciept.
Calling took forever for someone to answer, get the information right, and find out what was going on. Each time giving us the wrong answer or lieing about the "in transit" and where the tile was actually coming from (first texas for faster) later we learned Florida. Do yourself a favor and buy elsewhere. Its cheap enough to take a chance but if you need the product you are taking a HUGE RISK.
