Took my money but I don't have the product

On 10/23/07 I called this company to order a bar for my home. Immediately after I placed the order (the same day) I found it almost half price elsewhere.

I contacted AstorClub back, telling them of my better offer. As on their website, they have a section that says "Seen it for Less?", and you are to fill out a form and prove your other offer.

Well, none of their emails or that form worked. Everything was returned to me. I called them and told them of the offer. They asked me to send them the email from the other vendor. I faxed it over (as my only way of sending it), and waited for a response. Nothing.

In a days time, I called AstorClub 4 times, to get no response. They already processed my order. I waited an entire additional day. No response. Now they won't even take my calls. So at the end of the 2nd day, I faxed over my cancellation request. I was getting a very uneasy feeling from this company at this point.

The following day, I get another confirmation of my order being processed. The end of THAT day, I called and spoke to a Customer Service Rep, named Jennifer. I told her what happened, that no one would respond to me, and again, I want to cancel my order. She could have cared less, and said ok. She will cancel it.

The end of the next day (now being 10/26/07) a CSR named Scott called me at work, wanting to talk to me about pricing. I said at this point, it's too late, and AGAIN I want my order cancelled. He said I needed to fill out a form. I asked him to send it to me, and he replied that he would email it to me immediately.

No surprise, I never got that email. On Saturday, 10/27/07, I called AstorClub AGAIN, and finally spoke to the man who originally took my order, but refused to talk to me since. And come to find out, the CEO of the Company!!! His name is Gerald Binder.

Mr. Binder claimed he JUST sent me an email, to please go read it as I will be pleased with their offer on the bar. I said NO, AGAIN, I want my order cancelled. At this point, I've asked it to be cancelled at least 4 times. He would not let me talk. Told me the manufacturer ordered them to NOT talk to me, as they were investigating this other vendor, because it's not possible to sell that bar at such a low price.

I told Mr. Binder that has nothing to do with me. If I want to deal with this vendor, I will deal with them. If their fraudulent, that's my problem. He still refused to listen, talked over top of me, and I then lost patience and screamed "why can't you just cancel my order?" He again said please read his email. I said no, I don't want to read it. If you don't have my order cancelled and refund my money (to which they've now already charged my credit card) I will have the charges reversed. He said fine, go ahead.

I said "why can't you just make it easy on everyone and cancel my order for the 4th time?" He had no answer, and I ended up hanging up on him.

SO, I then placed a call immediately to my bank disputing the charges.

10/30/07, I get an email from that CSR, Scott Schwartz. Saying he apologizes for what happened. A refund will be issued in 3 business days. And he will send a follow-up email because "we feel you deserve to know what happened".

Here we are 11/14/07. No email from Scott. No refund on my credit card.
I have since emailed him and Mr. Binder (as the emails are now working) at least 4 times, asking them to do as they promised. With no response.

This is a company who took $1365.00 of my money, for a product that was never shipped!!! I since have ordered a bar elsewhere, for HALF the price, and it's sitting in my basement. And it's beautiful.

Do not order from this company. They are a complete RIP-OFF!!! Once they have your money, you won't get any response from them. Never mind if you cancel the order (which I did within 24 hours). You won't see your money!

I've also since reported them to the Better Business Bureau, which are investigating them. And the Federal Trade Commission.
