My new husband of four months at the time went to find new furniture for our living room and bedroom. We found and living room set, new mattress, bedroom set. We spent over $3000.00 on everything after purchasing all of the extended warrenties and "protective treatments" they offer. We got it all. They delivered everything on time and all seemed well.
We were moving into a new townhouse the day of delivery and so things were busy. Later that evening I noticed a large scratch on our brand new head board. After finding that I decided maybe I needed to check everything else. I found two more scratches on the dresser and two of the handles didn't have screws on one side so the handles. The one remaining screw in each were holding the handles in place but the handles could be spun around and were leaving scratches in the drawers.
I called the store the next morning and told them my problems. They sent a man out to inspect things a week later. He came and used a crayon looking thing to cover the scratches and said he couldn't fix the handles on my dresser. He would have to order them when he got back to the store. Fine. He said it would take no more than 3 days for them to mail them to our home for us to put on. Fine.
Well, here it is October 30. We purchased our furniture September 11. I still have no handles. I can't close two of my dresser drawers because I can't open them because they have NO HANDLES!!! I've called them a few times and they keep telling me that they have not gotten the handles in. I'm not asking for anything crazy. I just want my handles!!! On top of the handles the dresser was justy poorley put together.
I am very disappointed with the company and the only nice person I've dealt with was my sales person Suzanne. Every one else is rude and short on the phone. I really wish I would have found this site before going to that place. I am warning everybody I know not to take their business to Value City.
