HBW is carrying on their magnificent tradition of stalling and failing to settle a claim. Submitted claim back on 8/30 - contractor came out to our house and determined that a spring that keeps the tub in our washing machine straight up and down, broke.
Contractor called us to say that replacement part is no longer manufactured and they did all that they could do.
I contacted HBW and told me that they are waiting on diagnosis from contractor - called contractor and they informed me they sent diagnosis... So on and so forth for about another three rounds.
My wife spoke with contractor today as HBW stated that diagnosis is that the washer was repaired! My wife got the contractor to admit that HBW NEVER SETTLES their claims! She also got the contractor to admit that HBW will dispatch the contractor for Ice maker repairs - ice maker repairs are excluded from warranty contracts!!! So basically the contractor is shady as well.
After reading some other posts, it seems like the BBB and/or Angies List are not viable options, I may pursue Colorado's Attorney Generals Office. Please comment or rebut to this post if you would like to add your name to my letter.
