We purchased the extended warranty for our Samsung side-by-side refridgerator. We needed repairs and the company said our warranty covered them and they scheduled an appointment. The technician called to confirm the appointment and said he wanted to be paid when he arrived, not with a warranty. He was rude and said he'd call back but didn't.
I tried to reach the Best Buy Corporate office but no one seemed to have the correct number or know what department I'd need to ask for if I did manage to get through. We wanted to pre-pay for our service but they wouldn't let us do it and they had no customer service skills or concerns for me. They were rude and incompetent and will not honor our service warranty. I spoke to someone in customer service who didn't know how I could set up a corporate account for billing, incoicing and payment. I offered to have a company representative come into a Best Buy and pay in person with a credit card but they said they couldn't take payment that way.
This massive company has no idea how to assist the customer other than to just collect money and tell you they're sorry they can't help you. I'm so sorry I ever did business with them.
We offered to pay for whatever wasn't covered in the warranty and they said we'd have to pay for it all and refused to come out to even assess our appliance to determine if it was covered. I'll never buy from them again and hope no one else wastes their time buying their products or services. It is a nightmare.
