We had purchased an extended warranty on a high end appliance (KitchenAid Gas Range) about a year ago. When the glass grease back splash shattered while boiling water, they denied any responsibility, suggesting that it was merely a cosmetic part. Making matters worse their customer service folks transferred me to four different reps, who each asked for the exact same information, but never informed me that the part was not covered until 70 minutes into the call.
I have had other issues with this company as well for covered repairs, in which they sent out the wrong replacement parts, or arrived very late for service appointments. Apparently they have a contract with Whirlpool for extended warranty service. I intend to contact Whirlpool directly to express my dissatisfaction, and would encourage others to do the same.
My suggestion is to not purchase extended warranty coverage from this company.
