Selling furniture on the internet unwilling to refund for sending wrong product

This furniture retailer sells modern furniture on the web. When we ordered a piece of furniture, the following happened.

First, we waited several months for them to send us something other than what we ordered. Then, they tried to convince us to keep it so they didn't have to pick it up and send what we had actually ordered.

Next, it turned out that the size and functionality of what we had originally ordered had been misrepresented to us when we called to ask about it and place our order. After several weeks of phone calls, we finally established they had no product that would work for us.

After several more weeks of phone calls to try to get them to pick up the wrong product that had been sent to us, with the manager and owner refusing to call us back, company confirmed they had no product that would be the size we needed. They refused to pick up the product they had sent us until we agreed only to take store credit instead of refunding our money.

A horrible experience that took months to resolve and was only resolved because we did not want to deal with them any more. They were willing to take us to court rather than provide reasonable customer service.
