Neumann Homes, a large mid-western home builder, claims that "It's God's fault" that my town home will be delivered 8 months behind schedule. I would like out of the contract since they confirmed a july delivery, but have been having trouble with them. This builder promised me my townhome in 8 months, but has since come up with numerous execuses including, but not limited too, we are having too much rain, the electric and gas companies laid their lines down in correctly, the village won't work out the contract issues. And the list goes on. Meanwhile, the sales office adviced me that the the Company had the permits since June and could have completed building in the Sep/Oct timeframe.
In a letter to the Better Business Bureau, the Company's headquarter's representative advised me that they had "no control over random acts of God". I mean really how does a builder such as this blame God for their problems. Taking God's name in vain is downright wrong. The company even had the audacity to blame problems on the former operations manager who left for another job. All this time, the man was doing a good job and now he sucked and overpromised customers things. What could he promise that was not in the contract? Go figure. I would like all prospective customers of neumann home products to proceed with caution. Get a lawyer before you sign the dotted line and be careful. The laws around new construction are not in their favor. Further more, a builder can blame God. Cheesy.
