We hired Mcalister Carpet to install tile and carpet 2 bedrooms. The tile was laid incorrectly, floor was not leveled, some tile have high edges, stump your toe type, deep grout valleys, did not use enough grout, even though we paid for 2 25# bags of grout. Tile not straight. Work left unfinished by garage door, and patio.
Carpet in master bedroom was installed incorrectly. Carpet tack strips missing, broken or not replaced with new ones. Carpet of wrong type. Wanted crush resistant, got Berber carpet that runs with a snag. Was assured by salesman Fred "no so hotshot", capet was resistant to crushing. Carpet not attached to tack strip by window and is bunching up on itself. Strip missing or defective. Carpet not streached by Florida guideline for carpet installation.
Mcalister has refused to repair/replace, take up or adjust after numerous phone calls to them and after filling a report with the better business in jacksonville, fl. Did they reply and only offered to grind down high spots. Ridiculous. After 2 years they still refuse to do anything. Beware of this company if you are thinking of using them to install anything in your home.
