My Fiance and I contracted Team USA Moving to move our belongings from Oregon to Florida. This gave us an estimate for the move which included wrapping of all furniture and 3 flights of stairs on pickup and 3 on delivery. Team USA then contracted Anytime relocation Inc. To do the move, which was supposed to take place on 1/9/06.
The movers did not show up until 1/12/06 at 2pm. Everything was already packed in boxes with the exception of the furniture which was to be wrapped in furniture pads (Included in estimate). They company that showed up tried to extort us out of an additional 584 for packing the furniture. They knew that I was leaving on a flight the next day and had no choice but to let them move our belongings.
We contacted Team USA about this on several occasions and was told by Bob, Josh, Steve, and Shane (Who all claim to be owners/managers) that they would take care of the 584 since we had already paid in full. Our belongings were supposed to have been delivered on 2/1/06, however did not arrive until 2/5/06 when we were forced to pay 396 or our belongings would be sent to storage until we did. The driver who delivered the belongings did not work for Team USA or Anytime, he was a third contractor.
We contacted Team USA who then said that they would re-imburse us for the payment. So we paid in cash to get our furniture. Once they delivered the furniture much of it was damanage, they even dropped my 53 inch tv on our stairway, breaking the side. On 2/6/06 My fiance received a call from Steve (Team USA) Who proceeded to yell at her, he was extremely beligerent, and when my Fiance began to explain the situation he said "We are not customer service" and hung up.
I then filed a complaint on their website and received a call from Shane, who backpeddled and said that the charges are legit and there is nothing that we can do about it. I Have filed complaints already with the DOT and will be filing with the Attorney generals.
