Went in to aline front end. I bought the life time warrenty. Driving home it still pulled to the left! I mean you could hug the right side of the road and it would drift left, even on a crowned road. That's what I took it in for in the first place. Oh, while driving back on the inter-state at 70 mph, the hood pops open! Thank God for the safety latch. Pulled over to shut the hood. Now I'm pissed. Talked to the manager first about the hood popping up on the inter-state. His reply was that it's no big deal and he'll have a talk with the tech. Tech? Not closing the hood! Guess he missed that class. About the pulling. Manager said it's a Radial Pull. What the hell is that? Recommened new tires to fix problem but they still had alot of tread left. Told him I'd hold off. That pull drove me crazy. I did my share of pulling wrenches at a young age, so i'm very familar with my way around cars and trucks. I'm always pulling wheels and doing alot of my own work. If I'm to busy I take it to a shop.in this case Firestone. Went home and put front tire to rearand back tires to front. No big deal. Went back the next day to ask them to double check front end. They agreeded. After 2 hours they came back telling me the computer read it was a Radial Pull! Along with that, I told them I had a squealing noise under the hood. Said it was the alternator. Tried to sell me one, Na, I'll hold off on that. So I went bought one put it in, was tricky. Started the engine and still squealed! Dam! Some Tech he was. Should of learned a lesson with them trying to sell me tires. I diagnosed it to be the tentioner pulley wheel. That was easier and cheaper to fix. Left the alternator on. Went back to Firestone in Williamstown NJ on Blackhorse Pike. Ah, WellAh AH that would of been are second guess. Daa. Why wasn't the tentioner wheel your first guess! $ It's my fault in the first place not doing it myself. Alot of people can't and get stift out of their hard worked for money. They talk to everybody as if they know nothing about mechanics. Alot know more than they do. If they we totally honest with their customers, they'd go out of businness. Bottom line, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!
