We ordered a sofa and love seat from The Leather Factory. After giving the salewoman/manager (Sheema, who represented herself as an expert) the dimensions of our current sectional and stating that whatever style we chose could NOT be bigger than the current area used by the sectional, Sheema drew out the furniture and declared that the item numbers she had written down from the style book would fit perfectly in our room. She also stated that we would have no problem with the delivery driver taking our old couch away for a cost of $50.
When the driver arrived, her refused to take the old sectional. After numerous calls, he took the sectional for $100.00 and delivered a couch and love seat tath were too big. The area of our old sectional was 78 inches by 78 inches. The couch itself is 80 inches. With the love seat at a right angle, they take up 117 inches.
I called Sheema that day. She told me that all measurements were the customer's problem, that there was no recourse, but that I could sell the couch and buy another one! I called our credit card company and put the item into dispute. I again, called Sheema, explaining that the item was now in dispute. She again said there is nothing she can do.
